Given the ever increasing demand in the region for improved connectivity for landlocked countries to ports and the wider global markets, First Base Cargo has begun to service clients based in the neighbouring countries of Zimbabwe, Malawi and Tanzania to the Mozambican ports of Beira, Nacala & Pemba, where the Group operates field offices.
The expansions have seen First Base Cargo establish regular services to both Harare and Blantyre, with a number of other locations in the region planned soon.
This marks the beginning of First Base Cargo as a regional operator providing transport solutions outside of its Mozambican base, and is in line with the company’s long-term strategy of diversifying the markets that it operates in. As the company grows it will be able to take advantage of economies of scale and fill the gap that exists between the demand and current availability of reliable and cost-effective logistics in southern Africa.
